What pre-pull actually saves

Two separate meters run against an import container: demurrage while the box sits at the terminal past free time, and per-diem while the ocean carrier's container stays out. Pre-pulling stops the terminal meter and puts the box somewhere you control, so a receiver delay stops being a terminal billing event.

The yard

Our yard is at 2309 County St in Portsmouth, roughly 8 minutes from the Port of Virginia, with an on-site fuel tank and our own tractors staged there. Same-site drayage means a stored container can be delivered the moment your consignee opens a window.

Works with the warehouse

If the freight needs to come out of the box rather than wait in it, our 3PL warehouse and cross-dock are on the same operation — devan into storage, or transload straight onto outbound equipment. One coordinator handles the decision either way.
